Corrosion in general

Corrosion is a process that considerably reduces the life cycle and operating properties of an equipment. Unfortunately, the corrosion diagnostics is not as easy as it may seem. Many types of corrosion can be located in various places, often hidden, like under insulation, protective layer, ground, on the other inaccessible side etc. Corrosion is manifested in so many ways that laymen might not even see it as corrosion (it’s not just the “rust”).

We have long years of experience with corrosion inspections, its manifestations and evaluations. We apply almost all the non-destructive testing methods, together with special techniques, e.g. ultrasound TOFD and Phased Array, including large scale C-scans and S-scans, Guided Waves, surface application of MFL and ECA, PEC incl. high temperature inspections EMAT.

We are able to identify even such types of corrosion damage as corrosion cracking, hydrogen induced corrosion (HIC, SOHIC), PWC and others. Our material test lab performs various corrosion tests, incl. the resistance.
