DIAGNOSTICS OF TURBINES

Diagnostics is done on the selected parts of steam turbines, alternators and accessories, including both non-destructive testing – defectoscopy, and identification of material properties depending on the period of operation. We offer quality inspections of new turbine cases and other cast parts at the manufacturer, as well as the operated cases, casts, couplings, bolts and nuts. Magnetic particle inspections, eddy current or ultrasound phased array tests are done on rotors. Visual inspection plays an indispensable role. It focuses on blades and their edges, as well as the mounting, especially with regards to stress cracks. Rotor bores are checked using the eddy current manipulator. Material properties of turbine cases are inspected after a long-term operation by collecting and analysing samples or taking replicas. Non-destructive tests are completed on new and operated slide bearings to check composition adhesion.
