CRACK DEPTH MEASURING

When cracks communicating with the surface are found by another defectoscopy method, it is often necessary to verify their depth. It is not an easy task, because crack as a natural shape can have a very complex geometry. Eddy current or potentiometer methods can be used here.

To determine the depth we use defectoscopes with pick up probes or ECA probes, and devices designed directly for the purpose, based on eddy current or potentiometer principle.
