RFT - REMOTE FIELD TESTING

Suitable for heating pipelines of exchangers made from magnetic materials, mostly ordinary carbon steel. These pipes cannot be adequately tested using ET method due to physical reasons. RFT method allows effective examination of erosion and corrosion damages, such as pitting. The limitation is air cooler tubes with fins to increase the heat exchange surface. Pressure pipes can be tested basically only by MFL or IRIS methods.

The inspection focuses on the condition of newly installed pipes, and during their operation. By comparing the results after certain period of operation with the initial condition it is possible to determine the trends and predicts life span of the piping.

We use several RFT devices, with probes of diameter up to dozens of millimetres.
