VTN – INDIRECT VISUAL TESTING
Visual testing is a visual examination method used to check inaccessible or hard to access spots. Unlike the direct visual testing in this case the light beam between the inspector's eye and the object is interrupted. Examination using these systems is often called a remote method, as the objects are further away from the inspector.
The inspection uses video endoscopes, camera systems etc. they either comprise source of light, or external light is applied. Applicable lighting standard must be observed. Recording is usually in the form of images or videos.
We use video endoscopes of tube diameter 4 to 12 mm, length 3 m to 15 m. some devoices are equipped with lenses and software that allows also dimensional testing during the inspection, or afterwards, from the recording. Additional lights and handling devices are developed in-house.
